Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. Early Broadway roles are Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked alongside acclaimed actors and directors on stage and screen. The award-winning actress continues her career through her forthcoming projects. Ashford will next be seen with Kumail Nannjiani on Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited Series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford's current project will be Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to air on Disney DTC in the form of a Hulu Original. Ashford will return in 2023 and will play opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for the revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will direct the production. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment that is based upon the nation's crisis, which swept into Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters as the nation's first impeachment trial in more than a century. She starred in two seasons of popular CBS comedy B Positive. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the legendary Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway has won two Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in her role in the role of Essie. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the character that was originally played by Lauren of Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway roles. Ashford is an Denver resident who splits her time in Los Angeles.
